The Piper Downs

CD – Varying Degrees of Failure and Tunelessness

With the standard rock setup of two guitars, bass, and drums, the Los Angeles based Piper Downs have put together a pleasing eleven tracks of power pop. Most of these tracks are rocking, although there are a few ballads, one of which even has a steel guitar.             This is a multi-media CD that also includes three music videos.

            The Downs are a young group with songs about relationships and other concerns, like “When I Needed You” and “Cold Day In Hell”. There is even one called “10 Speed”. Being young, they have a corresponding amount of energy.

            This is a fun CD without any failure or tunelessness.
