CD Reviews  Moses Guest Moses Guest

Moses Guest self-titled CD 'Moses Guest' is an spectacular music project. The musicianship is trully outstanding, the songwriting abilities are more than excellent. Each and every song doesn't only have lyrics but those lyrics have stories behind them. So each song will have a special and different meaning to each listener, songs you can relate too!!!!

This CD being a double CD is packed with 17 songs that has something for everyone. Some of these tracks are loaded with your orchestra sounds that will totally blow you away. For instance, Disk #2 'Song for Dead' is an fantastic song, it starts out mellow and laid back and all of a sudden these instruments kick in and you are on a ride of your life.

The orchestra sounds will chill you to the bone. This song definitely shows what Moses Guest is all about..... 'Rag Doll' is another kickin Moses Guest tune that strings you along and when you least expect it - takes you on a wild ride and brings you back again. This is true professionalism!!! While checking this CD out, check out these tunes: Saint Mo.....U n' Mi.....Take Me....excellent material.

I'm sure once you take this CD for a spin you will agree that Moses Guest is a different kind of band, writers, musicians, different in all ways. Give them what they deserve, YOUR ATTENTION...... check them out at the Moses Guest website at http://www.mosesguest.com for your spin and purchase.

The superb musicianship behind Moses Guest are: Graham Guest bringing in his great vocals, guitar action and banjo work. Plus his songwriting , which with all this he is packed with A1 talent......James Edwards brings in the drums, percussion, background vocals. Outstanding drummer.....Jeremy Horton on bass, of which gives this group that groovin' bottom. James and Jeremy are solid, their dynamics are outstanding and super tight. I can not say enough about this rhythm section as these two musicians keep the heart of the music pumping away. And they both do a Spectacular job!!!..... Rick Thompson gets into it with his electric/acoustic pianos, hammond organ, mandolins and background vocals.
And let's not forget the Guest Musicians, all these musicians are to be applauded for their contribution of the success of this cd. Those Special Guest Musicians are: Dan Workman - guitar.....Steve Palousek - pedal steel/dobro.....Ian Tomsic - guitar.....Andy Saad - saxophone.....Yvonne Washington - background vocals.....Jeff Walton (Four Score Music) composer/arranger/conductor (Song for Dead).....Jonathan Godfrey, Maria Lin, Mikylah Myers - violins.....Karen Ritscher - viola.....Barrett Sills - cello.......

All the Moses Guest musicians in my book deserve a huge standing ovation for this CD project. Good work and excellent CD.
