Rebel Storm is now one of the respected bands of the scenery of Southern Rock. After
"Stormin' South's " released in 2001 the group has been receiving excellent critics worldwide and it culminated with a success tour in Europe in 2002.
Compared with your previous work, "The Hard Way " gets to prevail over your predecessor. The band is playing very good and they did a very pleasant CD. I noticed an accentuated work of the keyboards in that album, giving a larger sound mass. Billy Moss has a voice that marries perfectly with the style; he also composes again practically almost the whole CD. The precision of Don Swensen's bass and Bobby Nesbitt's drums, that make a powerful kitchen for the guitar solos of Billy and Troy Moss.

The CD has excellent moments, the opening with "No Settled Man " is pure Southern Rockn Roll with great guitar solos and piano. "
True to My Baby " is one of my favorite ones, with a strong bass and drums, Moss sing with sarcasm with a great refrain.
The blues influence appears accentuated in " Livin' on the Tracks ", with a good guitar riff. "
Midnight Traveler " is an authentic Southern Rock, where again Joe Turnbull's piano appears with status, pure Rock'n Roll.
"Little Lovin'" begins with those traditional guitar duets
"a la Allmann Brothers", that is one of the most cool characteristics of the style, and Rebel Storm knows how to take advantage of the guitarists' abilities. It happens in "
True Tales of the Black Forest ", an instrumental of seven minutes where Moss & Moss shows plenty familiarity with the style besides very good technique.
I enjoyed "Stateline ", remembering a little of the old ZZ Top and
"Standin' in the Rain" the traditional southern-ballad, that has one of the most beautiful songs of the CD.
This is an essential CD, because Rebel Storm has the essence of old Lynyrd Skynyrd and ABB, but with a revigorated vision, making the authentic Southern Rock. Visit the official website and know a little more about this band, that has receiving you good critics of specialists of Southern Rock of the whole world.
