CD Reviews  Rebel Storm The Hard Way

The Rebel Storm are Southern Rockers out to take all listeners by storm. On their 'The Hard Way' CD they are wound up tighter than a full-blown tornado, ready to push their instruments and themselves to the point of all the music on this CD exploding upon impact.

The vocals have a raspyness with excellent ranges from all aspects of the vocal spectrum. Magnificent and a singer you can listen to all night long....The lead guitar is drippin' Hot, the licks must put a heavy duty meltdown on those strings - or at least cause sparks to fly....The keyboards are outstanding, there are not too many keyboardists that get my attention but I was all ears. What cool and excellent keys sound....The rhythm section keeps the heart beatin' in the music of Rebel Storm with their solid and in the pocket drum action beats and grooves of that bass. The dynamics are fabulous. Tight Tight Tight!!!

And those Hot Rebel Storm Musicians are: Billy Moss - guitars/vocals.....Don Swensen - bass/vocals.....Joe Turnbull - keyboards/vocals.....Troy Moss - guitar.....Bobby Nesbitt - drums.
With Special Guest Artists: Joe Riggio - acoustic guitar.....Jeff Moss - backup vocals.

The whole CD should be listed in this review as every track is a huge winner with me. Heres a few to get you going: '
True to My Baby' along with vocals and instruments, this track has some spectacular keyboard and bass action.....'Midnite Traveler' has a touch of the Skynard tones.....'Firefly Lightnin' is an southern rocker with an rock kicker.....'Gals from Mississippi' has that southern rock blues feel with a SRV blues vocal sound at the end. Gives ya the chills!!

There is one particular song that really shows the musicianship of Rebel Storm and I would like to elaborate on this tune and that tune is 'True Tales of the Black Forest', this is an instrumental tune that starts out pretty laid back - then before you know it, they make a turn and all instruments explode, then they take you back to the beginning. And then wait, the ending has this wild HOT EXPLODING KICKER.
