For a long time I saw great studio albums of Blues, but definitively I think the best way to know a good band of Blues is to hear it alive. Unhappily few live recordings dont make justice to the shows, sometimes for technical problems, sometimes for a bad day of the the musicians or simply for production a lot below the expected. For all this I was very impressed with
Smokin' Gun.
The live album Live Rounds From
Seattle, is a fantastic presentation of that band of Jimi Hendrix's city. The band since 92 has been presenting it, playing covers of great bands as Allmann Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and other classic bands. With experienced musicians, the presentation is very technical, but without losing the necessary spontaneity of the good and old Blues.

The CD has seven covers and five original songs, all with a fabulous interpretation. After the presentation of the band by a local Radio DJ, the band begins with the original
"Don't Go", a great opening song.
"Don't Touch My Girl" is fantastic; great vocal, good duel of guitars and an incredible Hammond.
"Fool Goes Your Stockings" is ZZ Top in a version very faithful to the original, what is well synonymous of thing well done.
"I Need You Baby" is good, but
"Bad Luck Blues" is powerful. Only the bass solo of Bill Majkut, is already meaning the CD.
"Too Tired" is that same of Gary Moore, a version of very good taste. In Nothing Good To Say guitarist Jack Johnston, does a beautiful guitar solo, he is a very good guitar player.
The CD still has very good moments like "One Way
Out", "La Grange" or
"Forecast Calls Goes Pain". It is basically well "
a Blues rocker ", as only same who was born drinking a lot of Jack Daniels knows how to do.
