CD Reviews  Voodoo Kings American Lights

Voodoo Kings are one HOT ROCK n ROLL mean machine. Their 'American Lights' CD is so packed with talent, excellent songwriting, instrument expertise that the listeners can hear the love of their music pouring from every pore in their being.

The dynamics of this band are absolutely out of this world and did I mention tight tight tight. The Rhythm section is solid and constantly in the pocket, this attribute belongs to Jeff Kissel - drums/percussion and Doug Iha - bass and along with their musicianship they are also suppling the background vocals..... Voodoo Kings has some of the hottest Horn section I have ever heard. This glory belongs ONLY to Rick Deja on the Baritone/Tenor/Alto Sax and Jim Struyk on Trombone..... Michael Kranichke is responsible for all those HOT vocals and he is the guitar actionman that you hear pushing the lead guitar to its limit, but wait! There's more axe action to be reached. There's no stopping now.

'American Lights' CD Additional Musicians are: Michael Casey - harmonica.....Rick Barnes - slide guitar.....John Pirucello - pedal steel guitar.....Bob Long & Simon Sweet Rhodes - hammond B3/piano...

There is no way I can list a favorite list this time around as every single track in 'American Lights' CD is a #1 hit with this reviewer. So I will just say that the Voodoo Kings has put out a CD that has Hot music, superbly written material, produced and engineered extremely well and the musicianship is of the Outstanding caliber level. Can't get much better than this!

Make sure you check the Voodoo Kings Website at: http://www.voodookings.com to hear and purchase their material.
