BOSTON ARE BACK!!!!

Proving they are more than “just another band out of Boston,” Tom Scholz and company are making headlines with what is proving to be one of the hottest summer tickets this year. Response has been overwhelming to the band’s two and a half to three hour show. “We are so excited to be out playing every night,” say bassist Kimberley Dahme. “We are so proud of the new record and are thrilled with the reaction we see when the crowd gets behind these songs.”

Dahme is the first and only female ever to enter the Boston camp as a member of the band. Her background is most fitting in that she is an accomplished singer/songwriter in her own right with four albums to her credit. “I grew up in California,” says the engaging blonde, “I moved to Nashville and have been there since writing and performing. I can play a number of instruments and am a singer.”

Scholz and Boston guitarist Gary Phil saw Dahme playing guitar and singing in a Massachusetts club when they invited her to perform along side them. The only catch is she had to play bass. Dahme, financially strapped at the time, stopped in to a pawnshop and picked up a cheap bass. “I locked myself in a room and ‘chipped wood’ until I learned the bass lines I need to play,” says Dahme. “Our first night playing in front of a crowd, I couldn’t breathe. Here I was playing with one of the biggest bands in the world and I had to remind myself that I needed to breathe. It was very exhilarating and continues to be so”

Boston are performing in Portland, OR at the Rose Garden Saturday July 26th at 7:30pm.
