THE STROKES ~ This Is It

The Strokes new album titled “This is it” came out early this month.  Most people still want to categorize them as trendy pop, but oh man do they need to open up that thinking cap.  There first album “Is this it” was mind blowing!.  Now with there second album they did it again.  Strokes lead singer Julian Casablancas has said in Spin magazine that he completely bit off Sonic Youths stuff.... not quite Julian.  “This is it” is again a very up beat, bop your head while your driving master piece.  Most of you have heard “12:51" on the radio, I haven’t heard one bad thing yet on that song or the album.  The Stokes first album was more about chicks taking Soma and love and conflict.  This album is a little more about chicks and how he’d rather not go there, (maybe Julian got dumped, who knows) but still kick ass album.

Furthermore the music is soo good, Fab Moretti Strokes drummer not to mention (Drew Barrymores man) has excelled so much since the last album.  Crazier and faster beats in the song “I can’t win” Fab rocked my world along with the perfect melodic guitar sounds from Albert Junior and Nick Valensi, not to mention Nikolai Fraiture on bass who really gives the band there different sound.
