Press Release JASON BOLAND & THE STRAGGLERS  LAUNCH TOY DRIVE

JASON BOLAND & THE STRAGGLERS
 LAUNCH TOY DRIVE
FOR COOK CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER!

For immediate release ~ Contact: Brandy Reed ~ (615) 297-3800

Nashville-Jason Boland & The Stragglers have been rising on the Texas/Oklahoma music scene for years becoming widely known for their rebellious honky tonk antics while flooding venues across the Midwest with a mass of unquenchable music junkies.  Stories and/or "myths" have been passed around from state to state about the band's disregard for authority, conformity, and normality.  As most of these "qualities" are true, the guys in the band have another side
seldom seen by their fans, a side of them that lives far outside of their crazy music world. As many are discovering, it is not all chaos with The Stragglers, and in fact, the heart of the band runs as deep as the Red River.

Jason Boland & The Stragglers has launched a "toy drive" that will benefit the Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. The bands is asking all Stragglers' fans to bring as many unwrapped/unopened toys as they can to any of their shows throughout the Christmas season.  Each toy donated will be an entry into a drawing to win a Fender guitar autographed by the band.  As most of the children at the hospital are under the age of 10, the band would prefer toys by Little Tikes and Fisher Price.  The band also asks that all toys be non-violent.  The band will make a special appearance on December 21st at KPLX "The Wolf" in Dallas, Texas for the "Front Porch" show where they will release the winner's name of the Fender.  They we also have a person from the hospital accompany them on air at which point the bag of "goodies' will be handed over.  Make sure to get your toy donations to Monty Peliti at the Stragglers' merchandise
booth.  Even if you don't play guitar…it will look cool just sitting in your living room.

Please come and help us make this Christmas a very special one for so many children in need of a smile.  If you are not able to attend a live show, but want to donate a toy and enter the drawing, please send toys to
