When you have 'Powerful
musicianship, driven forces to be reckoned with, magnificent
work with their material and combine that with a ride that
is turbo-driven' What do you have? You got the
Powerful-Magnificent Mean Machine of Blackfall
and their CD ‘Pieces'.
The vocals of Blackfall
are so awesome that the tones will send chills to the bone
and all at the same time put you on the edge of tears just
from the powerful, sensual vocals of none other, Randy
Weitzel, his sustaining powers are superb. At any given
moment he will sing at the low end of the vocal spectrum and
then before you know it, he is at the high end with still
strength in his voice.
With three (3) guitars
in Blackfall, its no wonder this group has such a powerful
drive in their music. What’s remarkable is that you can
hear each one of them and they’re not getting in each
others space. And those three terrific axe-men are: Randy
Weitzel, Josh Scott, Max Trujillo. The drum action
is TOTALLY OUT OF THIS WORLD. Another fast driven force
behind Blackfall, Vincent Heckard, comes into
this CD with excellent and spectacular beats on each and
every song……….excellent work Vincent.
Lets not forget the
other credit for Blackfall being who they are as a group and
that is Eugene Scalisi with his right on bass,
in the pocket and keepin’ that heart pumpin’…. And
those keys belong to none other than Max Trujillo,
spectacular sounds Max. Love it. All background vocals are
done by Blackfall.

All songs are very
capable of a mention, you the listener needs to go out and

Even though the 'Pieces'
CD is a big hit with me, there are two songs that just blew
me away with more intense than the others and those are
Track #1 ~ ‘Traces’
– all instruments done with power, takes you from turbo to
a soft mellow sound and back again. Love those rides…..and
Track #2 ~ ‘Medicine’
– this tune is a slower ride but one that is meant for all
of us and the lead solos are so outstanding, the vocals are
spectacular.
Before closing this
review I just want to say that Track #1 ‘Traces’
truly shows the abilities of Randy Weitzel as
lead singer. And the musicianship of all band
members are demonstrated on this cd. Their expertise is
multiplied to the max. Remember.... Go Get Yours TODAY!
