At every open mike, there are always a few women who
play guitar and sing lyrics to their own songs. Many
of them sound similar. If you took two of those women
and backed them up with a band, it would probably
sound a lot like this EP.
The two women leading the group are known as Yotty and
Rev, both originally from Israel.
Actually, 'Never Ends' is a good rocker, with strong
guitar work. 'Into the Hole' enters into dreaded
singer/songwriter territory, however, with lyrics like 'The monster is in me/And
I'm screaming in the
dark/Set me free' and 'Sucked in the hole/Someone get
me out of here.' Not that you won't agree with them.
The acoustic guitars come out for 'I Know', which
includes the heartfelt sentiments 'I know/I know/I
know/Oh God bring down some love on us/I know you know
we are your children.'
'Can You Hear Me' begins with 'I look up to the
stars/And see your face above.' It also includes, in
the chorus, 'No,no,no,no,no,no/I don't want to cry',
but by this time I nearly was crying 'No,no,no,no,no, no!'
I could also criticize this EP for only containing
four rather short songs, but in this case I would
consider it an act of mercy.
