Mojo Collins:

CD - 'Working’ Da Mojo'

Mary Rudy, http://www.muzikreviewz.com

William R. Mojo Collins from Wilmington, N.C. has the blues oozing from his body, with his long history of being raised with music from a young age, progressing on to working around music in his adulthood.

There isn’t a part of Mojo that doesn’t possess that blues sound and excellent musicianship and it definitely shows in his CD ‘Workin’ Da Mojo’. Mojo puts into his songs what is coming from his heart and soul, each song has clean steady tempos, with a rhythm section that is perfectly accented with beats and grooves that are the best I've ever heard. This is the kind of blues that would just melt your heart and soul, and in addition give you the chills up and down your spine. This is the kind of music that there is no way you wouldn’t be able to feel something, thing is – be prepared to feel it deep down inside.

Mojo Collins has that extremely bluesy, raspyness at times, a sound that maybe would of been heard way back when. A sound that is very much loved and appreciated by this blues lover, listener, new Mojo fan and reviewer. Mojo possesses some of the most astonishing musicianship I have ever heard, the guitar work, harmonica is some of the most heart melting sounds to come out of a cd. If you ask me the whole cd reeks of an amorous atmosphere of the blues that can only come from the love that Collins has in his heart for his music. If you weren't in love with the blues before hearing Mojo Collins, then you will be after this cd is finished. I can only assume that Mojo Collins performs all the cool harmony, guitar work (acoustic and slide), harmonica and vocal work, which this track is full of.

What this country of ours needs is to have some more of that good ole blues back with us, there is just something special about the blues. If there are any recording company scouts out there reading this review, I recommend you go knocking at Mojo's door. The recording quality is excellent. I could not find any flaws on this cd, not even a tick!
