CD Review Buddaheads  Real
[includes/Left.html]

Buddaheads
Real
Wilshire Park Entertainment

The memorable title track captivates the listener with heavy, rhythmic guitar beats steeped in the blues—a song fans of both rock and blues will surely love. This fusing of musical traditions is a constant in Real, and the sound is described on the Buddahead’s website as “roots rock with a blues base.”

The Buddaheads’s unique sound is an asset, but one of the album's most impressive qualities is the diversity of the songs. Track two, 911, contrasts the snappiness of Real with its slower, sultry tone, and then there’s the ache of Dance Maria and the bluesy Cold Hard Cash.

On the Buddaheads website, they assure fans that they’re the “original LA version!” While the Buddaheads mixes several different styles and traditions, they have indeed established their own original sound—a unique fusion of rock and the blues.
